The Miraflores Palace was commissioned by President Joaquín Crespo in the 1880 s only after his death in 1898. Located at the time in the middle of a prairie, it was the largest, most majestic and majestic country in the country. Its walls reinforced with metal slats made it resistant to seismic shocks. Both inside and outside the palace were decorated with the original J & C initials, in tribute to President Joaquín Crespo and his wife Jacinta. Now, French and Italian furniture, paintings of Venezuelan masters (Michalena, Salas, Mendoza and Tovar y Tovar) adorn the official office of presidents, installed on these walls since 1911.
