MUSEO DE ARTE CONTEMPORÁNEO
The Venezuelan government eliminated the name Sofia Imber from the museum after the founder accused President Chávez of holding anti-Semitic words. Inside, it is difficult to propose a better collection of contemporary art. The 5 floors of galleries in this modern museum host works by first-class artists such as Soto, Miró, Chagall, Matisse, Braque, Calder, Leger, Dubuffet, Segal, Carlos Cruz Diez, Picasso (very beautiful collection of engravings and drawings) and other Botero… Since 2005, this collection is part of the National Museums Foundation. In total, no fewer than 13 exhibition rooms. Rooms 1 to 8 offer temporary exhibitions. Room 9 is dedicated to digital art and multimedia; Room 10 shows the collections of the great masters; another room is entirely dedicated to Picasso. Regularly, this museum also organizes conferences and has an art library. One of the best museums of contemporary art in Latin America. See absolutely.
