Ten kilometres west of Coro, an impressive cemetery of mastodons (large marine mammals) has been uncovered, including a skeleton in an excellent state.
This site is considered the richest fossil in South America. You can take a nice walk, go to a small lake, but watch the serpents snakes. Good footwear is mandatory. The cemetery has been home to a museum since 2004.
It is possible that you can work a day on the archaeological site, find out.
