CALLE CARABOBO

With the bridge Urdaneta, this street symbolizes Maracaibo. It has become entirely pedestrian, surrounded by its entire length of colorful houses, thick walls and traditional bars. Really splendid, and we regret that there are no other in style. The ideal is still to drink a Polarcita or buy a pie sold by the window of one of these beautiful houses. Influence, like in Coro, is eminently Dutch. Indeed, Maracaibo, isolated from the rest of the country until the advent of oil, kept trade relations for a long time only with Curaçao and Aruba.
