In the 1990 s, a Venezuelan returning from our gentle France put a dozen small grey snails in his pocket. The union of these clandestine gastropods gave birth to a colony. Today, Douglas Uzcatéguí offers in his restaurant a festival (fine herbs, garlic) but also a wedding with Italian cuisine such as fettuchinis to snails, snails to neapolitan sauce, risotto to setas (delicious mushroom Bolletus edulis of the area) etc. Everything is succulent, staff is generally nice and pro. In short, one of the best addresses in Venezuela, really not expensive. And, as its name indicates, the restaurant offers no fewer than 150 pizzas! Poetry lovers will be filled, books written by the poet Douglas are on sale. He opened two branches in Mérida.
