Just 200 metres from Omaha Beach, the Memorial Museum takes you on a journey through history’s most memorable scenes. Each stage is carefully reconstituted with mannequins, photos, personal objects, period clothing, weapons, military vehicles... A poignant immersion accompanied by a 25-minute educational film on D-Day. Founded 30 years ago, this museum is also a fine family affair, which puts the emphasis on the human rather than the machine.

Opening time and information on OMAHA BEACH MEMORIAL MUSEUM
Quality Tourism. Closed from mid-November to early February. Low season: open every day and on public holidays from 10am to 5:30pm. High season: open daily and on public holidays from 9:30am to 7pm. Last admission 1 hour before closing time. Adults: €7.70. Children (aged 7 to 15): €4.50. Group (10 people): €4.60. Students aged 16 to 25 with ID card: €5.80. Gift store. Small pets accepted (in arms or in a bag).

Covering an area of 1400m², the museum has an important collection of uniforms, personal objects, weapons and vehicles. Numerous reconstructions of American and German scenes plunge you into the heart of the history of the D-Day landings and what was the daily life of all these men who came for our freedom. A rich historical documentation, superb archival photos, explanatory texts and thematic panels represent all the phases of the occupation period up to the D-Day landings. During the visit, a film accompanied by testimonies of American veterans clearly explains the D-Day landings on Omaha and Pointe du Hoc. All the different objects on display belonged to the soldiers and are all steeped in history. The museum's collection is always in constant evolution. Museum adapted for children.
