MUSEO DIMITRIOS DEMU

Besides shopping and sunshine, the fans of sculpture will be able to forget their bodies for a few hours. For the little history, the museum was designed by Fruto Vivas in 1999, a famous architect from Tachira, a reference in the world of avant-garde and popular architecture. Fruto participated in the creation of important structures in Venezuela, but also in Cuba, Spain and Nicaragua. In the black room the UFO series is highlighted by a huge metal dome, the room of the eye of God presents a replica of the extinct statue of Stalin and the Siren Hall of toys and gadgets of extra-terrestrial shapes, place in abstract and kinetics. These are the pieces of the private collection of the Greek sculptor Dimitrus Demus who are exposed there, and it is to Nicolas his brother that comes the beautiful initiative in tribute to the late artist who lived in Puerto La Cruz… and who has never seen the museum.
