MUSEO CRUZ SALMERON ACOSTA
Cruz Salmerón Acosta was born on 3 January 1892. The «miraculous poet», as it is called, died in a leprosy youth. It was in a melancholic period during his isolation in Manicuare that from 22 years old he wrote his magnificent poems. Visit its modest house facing the sea, it is intact. On his bust is the Azul poem. It is said that just before dying he told the inhabitants that bénites rains would cure the arid earth: " Boys, do not abandon the village, tomorrow when I arrive in Heaven, I will send you a lot of water. " And the night of 29 July 1929, the procession accompanied the casket… under a diluvienne rain!
