This museum specializes in the fascinating history of Canterbury during the Roman occupation. Erected on the remains of an ancient villa from this period, the house that houses it retraces this rich and significant past, with replicas of objects as well as reconstructed interiors that allow us to visualize life at this time. A market has also been reconstructed, and mosaics and the heated floor of the original site can be seen. It's always interesting to be reminded of England's often overlooked Roman heritage.
