Built in 1640 on the town ramparts, the Ypres Castle Inn offers beautiful views of the area and is a very pleasant pub with its open fire and good Sussex beers. Fish & chips, burgers, roasts, magpies and steaks provide the British culinary touch and there are also puddings and baguettes at lunchtime. It's as nice a place to have a drink as it is to eat, and it's ideally situated just below the castle in an ultra romantic setting. In winter there is even a fireplace.
