THE OLD BOROUGH ARMS
In the heart of the historic town of Rye, the Old Borough Arms is a 4-star hotel built in 1720 on part of the old town wall, next to the old Strand Gate. Overlooking the River Rother, this establishment offers nine single rooms and a three-bedroom suite, ideal for families needing extra space. Breakfast is included in the price if you book directly with the hotel. You can enjoy it on a charming terrace, where you can also have your meals or a drink at the well-stocked bar. Part of the original building is now home to the delightful Mermaid Street Café, offering delicious breakfasts, excellent coffees, popular homemade Scotch eggs, sausages wrapped in puff pastry and some of the best ice cream you'll ever taste at the famous ice cream window! The hotel is open daily from 8am to 8pm.
