The Romans had set up a military base, transformed into a palace for a Celtic king in the 1st century A.D. Masterpieces of the place, the mosaic floors are surprisingly varied. You'll even see Cupid riding a dolphin. The history of the site is retraced and the original garden has even been recreated. Archaeological excavations are still going on and the last major discovery dates back to 1961 (the North Wing). Evenings and special events are organized.
