For lovers of ancient history, take a detour to Rockbourne Roman Villa. Discovered in 1943 by a local farmer, it was one of the most important Roman villas in southern England. The ruins have been restored and are now open to the public. A small museum also displays artifacts found on site, including jewelry, coins, pottery and mosaics. Activities are organized for children. Not to be missed if you're passing through!
