This hospice, built in the 12th century, is said to be the oldest in the country, and is still in operation today! It was founded by none other than William the Conqueror's grandson, Henry de Blois, to help those too poor and weak to support themselves. He was able to feed up to 100 people a day. It's a powerful experience to step inside these 900-year-old walls steeped in history. It's like stepping back in time to medieval England.
