The Great Hall is the last vestige of Henry III's castle, built between 1222 and 1235. The eastern wall was part of the fortifications of the building previously constructed by William the Conqueror. Attached to this wall is a replica of the famous Round Table of King Arthur and his knights; the supposed original remained there for 600 years before being hidden. Henry VIII is said to be the figure depicted in place of the portrait of King Arthur...

le château n'est pas exceptionnel car il n'en reste pas grand chose, mais c'est sympa de voir la table ronde, même si c'est une reproduction !
