This Benedictine abbey nestles among the trees on the north coast of the Isle of Wight. Still in use today, it is inhabited by monks who pray and work here on a daily basis. Its interesting and distinctive architecture is the result of a reconstruction of the site in 1912. Built in Belgian brick, its inspiration is at once French, Byzantine and Moorish. You can freely visit the church, gardens, visitor center, art gallery featuring local artists and take a break in the tearoom.
