This vast zoo has been Paignton's main attraction since it opened in 1923. Housed in a magnificent ten-hectare botanical garden, it is home to 2,000 animals of more than 250 species, some of which are endangered, such as gorillas, macaques and tigers. Six natural habitats have been reconstructed. In addition to the zoo itself, the park offers numerous activities, shows and a small train. It is an outing that can easily occupy the day and will delight the little ones. It's a pleasant family outing!
