THE MERMAID
What strikes you first on entering The Mermaid is the setting. The place is still in its original state, but the decor works well, with hundreds of bottles of alcohol hanging from the ceiling, black-and-white photos of the region, wooden furniture and checkered tablecloths. You'd think you were in one of our Breton crêperies. Typical local dishes are served: lamb, pork, fish... There's plenty to choose from. And for dessert, of course, Sticky Toffee Pudding or Devon cream ice cream. Simple, hearty cuisine at reasonable prices.
