CASTLE DROGO

Built for the Drewe family by Sir Edwin Lutyens in the early ^20th century, there's nothing exceptional about the exterior of this castle, but the interior is that of a wealthy nobleman's residence. It represents the layout and decoration of the 1930s, with period furniture and accessories in the kitchens, bedrooms and living rooms. From the chateau, you can take a walk in the countryside, where the surroundings are both superb and mysterious, worthy of a Caspar Friedrich painting, especially when the mist rises and invites itself into the landscape.
