In a beautiful listed building, this collection gathers works from the Renaissance, several of which are Gainsborough. Paintings, porcelain and sculptures are present in particular and were gathered by Sir William Holburne. Temporary pay exhibitions are also available.

Contrairement à ce qui est marqué, l'entrée est payante même pour l'exposition permanente et c'est d'ailleurs relativement cher par rapport à ce qu'il y a à voir. Il y a beaucoup de petites porcelaines. Les collections sont présentées dans une pénombre constante, ce qui fait qu'on ne peut pas bien les admirer. Le personnel est franchement antipathique. Le bâtiment est classé donc intéressant d'un point de vue architectural. Il est situé dans un joli parc qui est gratuit.
