Coming to Stratford without seeing a Shakespeare play would be a bit like going to London without seeing Big Ben... And yet, until the 19th century, the famous playwright did not have a scene in his name in his hometown. The Royal Shakespeare Theatre with its Art Deco style is dedicated to the famous playwright and poet. It was inaugurated in 1932. For groups, guided tours are regularly conducted by enthusiasts who will teach you the great story, but also and especially the small one, that of behind-the-scenes incidents and rehearsals.
