It was Mary Arden's Farm where Shakespeare's mother lived, where she was born and raised, and where Shakespeare took refuge during the plague epidemic that struck London. It was founded in the 16th century. The Elizabethan farm appears under its former appearance and one meets actors in costumes as well as some rather rare animals, such as the Cotswolds sheep and the Gloucester pig. Craft and falconry demonstrations are also organized. A beautiful family outing that will delight the children.
