In operation from 1780 to 1980, this place saw many prisoners march past and also contained their trial room. We visit the prisoners' cells and their living conditions are revealed to us by objects from their daily lives, from the trial to incarceration, including the killing... Two centuries of detention are documented. Costume actors appear in the corridors and animate this gloomy place where the smell is authentic. Part of the prison sometimes hosts temporary exhibitions related to the prison environment.
