GRAYS COURT
In the immediate vicinity of the Minster, this former building built in 1080 saw a beautiful world, including James Duke Of York and King of England. From 1649 to 1663, Sir Thomas Fairfax, whose house was near the old castle, was the owner. Today, the beautiful residence lost nothing of its superb. It offers an elegant and relaxing setting for coffee or tea. In the beautiful days you will appreciate the tables on the large lawns lined with flowers. The restaurant only opens on Fridays. On the map, a selection of British dishes (smoked salmon, vegetable bowl, farmer chicken, lamb in sauce…) and his risotto prepared with seasonal products. A room of the house also acts as a gallery where painters and photographers sometimes expose, the entrance is free.
