GOJI CAFE
The city's vegetarians and vegans all gather here to eat to their liking. The space is small but warm, and the service very friendly. Colourful paintings illustrating York hang on the walls while waiting for the buyer, and the small garden at the back is stormed during the summer. Wraps, soups, quiches and salads delight the palate but the special mention goes to the mushroom burger, superbly garnished with a huge mushroom, cheese, sweet potatoes and vegetables. The place is quickly attacked and it is sometimes better to take away to land in the cathedral gardens.
