CLIFFORD'S TOWER
Rebuilt in the 1068 th century on a hill overlooking the town, this little dungeon is all that remains of the castrale motte erected by Guillaume the Conqueror in. In his court and between the walls, a retrospective tells the story. The Clifford was sometimes a prison, sometimes a place of humiliation for the body of the enemies of Henry VII… The Jewish population of the city was even massacred by the crowd in 1190. The main attraction, however, remains the height of its round road offering a pleasant observation position in the vicinity, even though it is not equal to the cathedral.
