Already occupied 3000 years during the Iron Age, the site saw the Romans then the Vikings before becoming a castle in the th century under Henri II. He suffered several seats during the Civil War and was even bombed by Germans in 1914. Today, there are only noble ruins that can be flown over the city and the bay. If you just want to get closer, there is a walk that starts at the end of Sandside, at the fishing port.
