HAREWOOD HOUSE
This large Georgian manor house was built in the 18th century by a wealthy family of sugar merchants. The plans were entrusted to John Carr, well known in Yorkshire for his other wealthy homes. You will discover sumptuous furniture in all the different rooms, from the library to the dining room and the bedrooms. In the China Room, an astonishing series of Sèvres porcelains can be observed with attention. Lovers of beautiful paintings will also appreciate the portraits of Reynolds, Gainsborough, Lawrence and Richmond. Allow three hours by taking your time to explore the area and the beautiful gardens that surround it.
