This generalist museum is organized around several different sections on natural history, ancient civilizations, world cultures, the city of Leeds and some others. There are many stuffed animals, Egyptian mummies, Roman mosaics, Greek tombstones and local archaeological discoveries. Many explanations around rare objects and times, from Prehistory to nowadays. The Victorian era and the military past are quite detailed, including costumes and objects of everyday life.
