This highly symbolic place of the city where half of Britain's cotton was sold was converted into a theatre after the IRA attack in 1996. Today it is articulated around a central stage where the performances are performed in an ultra-modern dome, in the middle of the main hall with its pink marble columns and golden acanthus leaves. The contrast between the old and the new is amazing. It is worth entering, at least out of curiosity. Visit the website to discover the program.
