Set in the terminus of the first railway line in history, MOSI is an extraordinary museum with impressive collections. Old cars, locomotives, era aircraft and exhibitions on energy, textiles, communication, computer science and many others: it offers everyone a comprehensive vision of economic, industrial and scientific development around the city of Manchester. There is also a restaurant on the top floor and an interactive and fun space for children. A not to be missed.

Très vaste musée en plusieurs départements, l'un pour le rail, l'autre l'aviation, un dernier pour l'industrie textile et les télécommunications .Présentation sérieuse et ludique.
Promenade très courte mais intéressante dans un petit train à vapeur d'époque jusqu'à la 1ère gare à ticket du monde. Visite des salons voyageurs de la gare qui date de 1844.
Visite totale d'environ 3H, libre et gratuite.Prix modique pour le etit trajet en train.

situé dans d'anciens entrepôts mais près du centre ville et de la gare Manchester Central. on appréciera particulièrement les collections liées aux textiles, à l'aéronautique et aux transports ferroviaires. entrée gratuite

Attention, ce musée n'est pas un musée de la science traditionnel. C'est plutôt un musée de l'industrie. Il est immense, on peut y passer la journée et y apprendre énormément de choses. Un peu moins pour les enfants que d'autres musées de la science en Angleterre
