Carried out by sculptor Antony Gormley from the casting of his own body, 3 steel human figures were spread over km of beach. Trapped in the sand, they cover and find themselves at the rhythm of the tides. Some keep their feet in the dry while others disappear almost in the stream. All outward-looking, it can symbolize the spirit of the adventurer who, looking towards the horizon, waits for better days. More universal, the idea is to confront the human at the rhythm of nature, to the immensity of the universe. This facility already in Germany, Norway and Belgium had to be temporary, but its success was such with the inhabitants that the city decided to acquire it.
