This huge forest of nearly 25 km² covers the entire southern part of Hawkshead, between Coniston Water and Esthwaite Water. It is a paradise for walkers and mountain bikers. Take a look at the Visitor Centre to consult the itineraries and get information. Particularity of the area: about fifty sculptures by artists are scattered in the surroundings, and have been for more than 30 years.
