STYHEAD & SPRINKLING TARN
Go to the borders of the Borrowdale Valley, at the place Seathwaite. It is said that it is here that it rains most throughout England… Most people garent along the road. Cross the farm and follow the road along the Derwent River. Once the small Stockley Bridge Bridge was built in 1540, it was built in and will be your way back. Go straight to the Lake of Styhead, and you will go through a wooden bridge at half way. 200 metres further, the strange wooden box (stretcher box) is a first aid kit, as previously existed in the Lake District. From here, head east, on the left, to Sprinkling Tarn, passing between Spout Head and Great Slack. Be wary of many trails that go in every direction and look at your card. Take a few hundred metres to the Rudy Gill River, which will take you to the Stockley Bridge and your steps. On the whole course you will enjoy views of Great Gable, Great End and the surrounding Scafell Pike.
