The castle that gives its name to the city was built in 1080 by the illegitimate son of Guillaume the Conqueror. Originally constructed in wood, he was réédifié by Henri II, between 1168 and 1178. There is now a castle only the dungeon. On the first floor is a small museum, and in the second one you discover the Great hall before you finish the climb of the tower, for a superb panoramic view of the city.
