Located 42 km south/southeast of Moscow, it is Russia's oldest and largest airport in terms of passenger traffic, with over 25 million customers annually. Many flights are to Europe, CIS countries and domestic routes to all destinations in Russia. After the episode of the terrorist attack in 2011, this airport is particularly fussy about security.
The Aeroexspress from the airport drops you off at Paveliets station on the circular line and the dark green line of the metro.
