The Saviolovo station is not as grand or ornate as its alter egos in the capital. This is because the station is of more modest origin, designed by a private company to serve provincial cities of the Russian Empire. Today, it retains this heritage and no longer serves any international lines. Its mission is to connect Moscow and its suburbs, including Krasnogorsk, Dedovsk, Istra, Volokolamsk by city trains. The station also connects to Sheremetyevo airport by aeroexpress since 2019.
