Completed in 1937 in the north of the capital as a gateway for travellers to the Caspian, Azov, White, Black and Baltic Seas and finally restored in 2020, the Moscow River Station is a perfect illustration of Stalinist architecture. Around the station there is a huge park with cafes and restaurants, flowery alleys, dozens of sports fields and children's playgrounds, a summer theatre, as well as a winter ice rink. The railway station has 17 platforms and all cruise ships on the Volga River leave from here.
