Surprisingly, the Russian capital's indetrônable five-star palace does not command excessive prices compared to other luxury establishments in the area. Built in 1905, it is decorated inside and out in the Art Deco style. It is a monument of the city: Lenin made some of his speeches to the people from the balcony of the restaurant; don't miss its huge glass roof which is a real masterpiece. The rooms overlooking the Kremlin and Bolshoi are no more expensive, just ask for them.
