The couture house of the extravagant fashion designer Slava Zaicev is as much an institution and a museum as it is a shop. Opened in 1982 under the USSR and now home to his shop, as well as a showroom, a design school and a model agency, the place has been home to the father of Russian design for years. The man was even known in France, notably for his perfume Maroussia: he is the only Russian to have succeeded in promoting his product through TV commercials in the world's leading perfume company
