Just behind the koltso, at some stations in the center, in this factory rehabilitated in 2010, one would think in another world. But if the south of Moscow and its medieval monasteries are planning us in the past, the Bottle Design Factory tells us something about the future, or at least the ultra-modern. Vial is the ultimate mix of chic and underground, a kind of perfect DJ set where the jerking rhythms of Berlin house cross the warm brass of the Eastern European brass bands to generate the Essence of Cool. All of this in the rough walls of an ancient factory (temple of Soviet faith, which became the temple of design in all its forms). Because there is roughly everything in Vial: courses for children, exhibition rooms, offices for rent in the day or month. There are also designers, clothing stores, architects, interior decoration. And because it is not just the brigade and open purses: restaurants and evenings, street shows, yoga, swimming pool, ice rink, ping-pong. We could spend whole days in the different buildings that make up Vial. And lying on a long chair near the swimming pool, let's say that Moscow is an incredible city and Lenin would be surprised at the trendy recycling of its crystal factory and the aspirations of new Russian youth.
