LOKOMOTIV MOSCOU

The eternal third, but may well be distinguished in 2018. The «Club of the October Revolution», created in 1922, first brought together players living near the districts of Moscow, then became «Lokomotiv» in 1936, associated, as his name suggests, with the sports society of the Russian railroad. The team therefore plays in the rzhd Arena, the name of the Russian railway company. While Lokomotiv is not one of the best Soviet teams, it is one of the only clubs to be allowed to play regularly internationally, and thus acquires some notoriety. Crossing a bad passage in the early 1990 s, the club gradually recovered and became one of the best in Russia in the 2000 s. At European level, the club can boast of a great defeat against Monaco in the Champions League in 2005: The two teams are equally on the back of the return game, but Monaco being the team with the most goals outside, it is therefore the one that will continue in quarter-finals.
