The third basilica of the Kremlin (АРХАНГЕЛЬСКИЙ СОБОР) benefited most from the contributions of the Italian Renaissance. The decoration is martial: frescoes depict great battles in Russian history; a 10 m high golden iconostasis (1681) supports the icon of the Archangel St. Michael attributed to Andrei Rublev. It is in this building that the princes and tsars of Moscow up to Peter the Great are buried: there are 46 gravestones, including the tomb of Ivan the Terrible.

Encore une cathédrale située dans l'enceinte du Kremlin. De pierres blanches, elle rappelle les cathédrale de Venise. A l'intérieur, on trouve encore de belles peintures et icones et elle compte une cinquantaine de tombeaux.

Située dans le Kremlin, c'est l'église nécropole des princes de Moscou et premiers stars de Russie. Elle est consacrée à l'archange Michel qui fut le saint patron de l'armée russe. Sont architecture extérieure est remarquable. Un dépliant explicatif en français est disponible à l'entrée.
