This natural history museum was the first museum in the world to explain Darwinian evolution when it opened in 1907. Today it is housed in a six-story Soviet building. The challenge of the museum is to make its huge exhibition and its hundreds of stuffed animals accessible to foreigners. On the whole, it is a success, in spite of a few hiccups. You will see realistic dinosaur models, an impressive collection of animal art and an exhibition of more than 800 species of animals. Highly recommended for children.
