This exhibition room is linked to the history of contemporary Russian art: in 1974, following a compromise with powers, an area opened for exhibitions of alternative painters (underground): Infanté, Schvarzmann, Nemoukhine, Vetchtomov, Schpindler, Yakovlev and others. At that time, the hall was named "The Municipal Committee of Graphic Designers". Today, members of the Federation and invited foreign painters organize temporary exhibitions here.
