MAYAKOVSKY VLADIMIR MUSEUM
The most original, colourful museum in Moscow. Opened in 1989, he immediately won the favor of Moscow and foreign tourists. At the entrance to the museum, the bust of Mayakovsky, recycled as a model Soviet man, betrays the spirit of the places. Once the staircase is mounted, we arrive at the level where, past the door of the apartment, begins a beautiful walk through the life and work of the great futuristic and revolutionary poet. The museum exhibits archival documents, photos, manuscripts, paintings of the years 1910-1920, posters, chronologically and on four floors of pre-revolutionary fouillis. All this savamment organized, or rather disorganized in surprising artistic performances. The chaotic and flamboyant life of Mayakovsky is being worked on in the fashion of permanent rupture, the liberating chaos. Glass, ice, lines and of course order and power are broken. Until the tragic suicide of Mayakovsky, whose funeral Mask closes the visit.
