KOLOMENSKOYE
The Kolomenskoye estate is 390 hectares of parks, forests, museums and preserved natural heritage in Moscow.
Overlooking the Moskva River, this park-museum is a popular place for walks and can be visited in summer as well as in winter when children come with their sledges. Although it has existed since at least 1339, from the 16th century onwards, the estate was the preferred summer residence of the great princes, and then of the tsars. For this reason, the Kolomenskoye Park has many monuments, the most important of which are the beautiful Ascension Church, the Sytny Palace, the Church of St George the Victor, the Church of Our Lady of Kazan, and the Vodovzvodnaya Tower.
