This former domain, sometimes of the Somonov monastery, sometimes of the Galtsyne princely estate, transformed at the end of the 18th century into an English-style landscape park, is a popular place for excursions, especially in summer when its ponds are not frozen and are open to all kinds of aquatic activities: canoeing, fishing and even swimming for the most courageous (we strongly advise against it). There is definitely a bucolic air dear to romantics in this somewhat wild green space and we strongly recommend it for a stroll.
