MAISON DU THÉ PERLOV
Moscow's tea mecca: you will find more than 1,000 kinds, all of them of high quality. Plus, the shop is superb.
It is not just a tea and coffee shop as its name humbly suggests: it is a palace dedicated to them in the heart of Moscow. The shop can also be visited as a monument of 19th century architecture, with its façade inspired by a Chinese pagoda. Legend has it that it was the tea merchant Perlov who had this tea house built in 1890 in order to receive a famous Chinese trader. In any case, it is a very popular visit in the capital and the teas are of excellent quality. A good address for a souvenir.
