B.PASTERNAK HOUSE-MUSEUM
Here is a pearl in the middle of the writers' village. Rather than a Dacha, this house-museum was almost the main residence of the Russian poet and novelist Boris Pasternak (1890-1960) where he lived from 1936 until his death. It was here that the poet completed his greatest works, notably the cycle of poems Peredelkino (1941) and the famous novel Doctor Zhivago . The museum, which opened to the public in 1990, is a branch of the Museum of Literature, which is committed to preserving the property as it was during the poet's lifetime.
